First Aired: September 1, 1998 Kero-chan ni Omakase!
Sakura is drawing in her picture diary that she must complete for summer homework. Kero-chan looks at the diary and notices that the date Sakura just finished was 1 month ago. Sakura tells him that she was too busy to write in her diary everyday so she has to do it all at once. Kero also notices that she does not have the weather written down. But Sakura tells him that she has got it covered because all of the old newspapers have the weather on them. Kero-chan is watching the news on the television and the broadcaster is advertising "sweet potato sticks". Kero-chan thinks they look delicious. Sakura is finished with her picture diary except for the weather. She goes to get the old newspapers to find that they are all gone. She asks her father where they are and he says he had taken them out already. Sakura looks disappointed but her father hands her his palm pilot which had recorded the weather for the past 2-3 months. Once Sakura is finished filling in the weather, Kero-chan says that the math homework Sakura needs to do is very easy. He offers to complete it for her under "special conditions" which are the sweet potato sticks. Sakura starts to work on the construction project she must also create before school begins. Yukito appears and asks her what she's doing. Touya then also appears and tells Yukito that it's tradition for Sakura to wait until the last minute to complete her summer work. He also makes fun of her for her last project which did not work out too well and how she forgot to put an entrance to her birdhouse for this year's project. Touya offers to build it for her, but for 5 chore shifts. Sakura calls Tomoyo to see if she has finished her work. Tomoyo says that she is not done either and that they should go to the library to finish their math worksheets and also get books for their book reports. When they get to the library it is very crowded. There is only 1 open room and when Sakura and Tomoyo try to enter, they bump into Syaoran. Sakura and Syaoran both attempt to enter the room at the same time and get stuck. They try for about 3 times until Syaoran says that they can have the room because the fortunes said that bad things will happen to him if he deals with women. When Sakura and Tomoyo are finally finished with their math worksheets, they say it's time to check answers. Kero-chan adds in that Sakura doesn't have to check the first half of them because he completed them for her. They check anyway, and when Sakura and Tomoyo's answers differ, Tomoyo's is the correct one. Sakura flips through her worksheet to see that Kero-chan has completed the worksheets all wrong. She yells at Kero and tells him that he doesn't get the sweet potato sticks anymore. Sakura now has to read a book so that she can do her book report. Tomoyo already read one so she doesn't have to worry about it. The most thin book to read was "Piglet Story". Sakura could not find one so she asks Tomoyo what she read. Tomoyo finds the book and Sakura says she will stick to the "Piglet Story" because the book was very very thick. They look for the Piglet Story a bit more but they could not find it so they ask the librarian. She says that someone might be reading it without having checked it out so Sakura and Tomoyo look around the library for it. Kero-chan checks in on Syaoran to see him looking up a letter that he doesn't understand. Syaoran explains to him that the kanji he learned in Hong Kong is different. Syaoran has the Piglet Story at the moment. Tomoyo thinks she found the book but it was not the correct one. When Syaoran goes to pick up his Piglet Story book, he only finds that the book has disappeared. Syaoran obviously senses something and starts to run around the library looking for the book. Kero-chan tells Sakura that he saw Syaoran with the book earlier so Sakura and Tomoyo try to find Syaoran. They find Syaoran in the children section trying to calm down a little boy. He was trying to take the book from him but the boy had built a house made of books and Syaoran made it fall. Tomoyo sees the book and Sakura looks over but when they attempt to take it the book disappears. The hunt for the book is on. Kero-chan tells them that it is obviously a Clow Card and must be found. They chase the book around the library and fail at grabbing the book numerous times. Syaoran notices that the book has moved outside onto a cyclist's bike. He chases the bicycle while Sakura and Tomoyo chase him. When the book disappears again, Syaoran stops running to let Sakura and Tomoyo catch up with him. Kero-chan informs them that the Clow Card is the "Move". The Move card can only move light objects short distances so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. They try to catch the book again but fail. Kero-chan tells Sakura that she has the ability to sense Clow Cards and that she needs to concentrate. Sakura concentrates and blocks everyone out of her head. After a while she is able to sense the Card and captures it and returns it to it's card form. She also catches the book when she notices that she is about to fall into the water. Syaoran sees this and he tries to grab her but it is no use. Sakura throws the book to Tomoyo so it does not get damaged while her and Syaoran splash into the water. Syaoran says the fortune warned him about this and they start walking home. Sakura sneezes and Tomoyo says she is going to catch a cold so Syaoran offers to let them get changed at his place while he finishes reading the book so that Sakura can have the book once he is finished. So they arrive at Syaoran's place and Wei gives themtea. He explains how he watching over Syaoran while the rest of his family is in Hong Kong. Syaoran then comes out and hands the book to Sakura. He also notices the shirt Sakura is wearing. Tomoyo and Sakura say it's a very cute shirt and ask Syaoran if he purchased it himself. He attempts to tell them where he got the shirt but he stutters. At that moment, a girl arrives in a cab at Syaoran's place. She walks in and immediately runs to Syaoran. She tells him that she could not wait to see him. She notices that he has guests but she makes a sour face. She walks up to Sakura and asks why she is wearing the shirt she purchased for Syaoran. Sakura tries to tell her something but she immediately pounces on Syaoran yelling at him. Syaoran is screaming back at her trying to explain. He also names the girl "Meilin". And that's all for this episode!
