It's the start of a new trimester and Sakura is up early. She is excited because she can see her friends again and she is going to be able to walk to school with Yukito. Sakura starts to blush so her face turns red. Kero asks if she has a fever from falling in the water. She says she is fine but she wonders if Syaoran is alright dealing with Meiling and all.

Sakura and Touya are about to leave for school when their father tells them that he is getting off work earlier so he will be able to prepare a feast for dinner. Yukito accompanies them along the way to school. On their way there, Touya asks Sakura if she read the article in the newspaper. She doesn't know what he's talking about so he tells her that a martial artist was attacked.

When Sakura arrives at school she sits by Tomoyo and they wonder where Syaoran is. A few moments later he walks in looking very pale. They assume it's because of what happened after they had been kicked out by Meiling the night before. They still wonder who exactly the girl was. When class starts, the teacher informs the students that they will have another foreign exchange student joining them. Syaoran looks very nervous when he announces this. The student turns out to be Meiling. She is introduced as Syaoran's cousin. When Sakura questions Syaoran about this, Meiling runs over to Sakura announcing to the whole class to stay away from Syaoran because he is her fiance.

When it's lunch time, the girls are talking about Meiling and how she has already made a scene. Syaoran and Yamazaki walk up to them when Meiling runs up and hugs Syaoran. He brings her over to the side asking her why she is at the school. She says that she was tired of waiting for Syaoran to go back to Hong Kong so she decided to help him herself. When she finds out Sakura is the other card captor she is very angry.

During Physical Education, the students are doing floor exercise. They start off by doing cartwheels. Meiling is very good at them. When it's Sakura's turn, Sakura also performs superbly. Meiling gets angry once again. The teacher announces they will both show their best floor exercise. Again, Meiling does very well but Sakura does even better. Sakura can feel Meiling's piercing stare as she screams "WHY??"

Just before dinner, Sakura is explaining who Meiling is to Kero. When it's time to eat, Sakura is unaware that Yukito would be joining them for their feast. It turns out their meal is steak. They start talking about the girl who beat up the martial artist again because it has happened twice now.

The episode cuts to Sakura at the park in another new costume put together by Tomoyo. Even Kero-chan has a matching bow. They realize that the girl who had fought the martial artists was a Clow Card. They both feel the presence of the Card when Meiling shows up. The Fight card appears and Meiling challenges it to a fight. She is doing very well until she is caught off guard. She is almost injured but Syaoran shows up and knocks the Fight into the water. Syaoran yells at Meiling for showing up because he did not want her to. We then find out that Meiling has no magical powers.

When Syaoran tells Meiling to go home, the compass points the direction of the card. It is about to attack Meiling but Syaoran stands in front of her in order to protect her. Syaoran is injured badly and because of this Meiling gets very upset. She starts to attack the Fight card. She is getting beat up when Kero-chan tells Sakura she must capture the card. Sakura says she does not know how to fight but Tomoyo mentions the Power card. Syaoran is about to help Meiling when Sakura tells Syaoran that she's got it covered. She uses the Power card to make her wand very strong. Just when Meiling is about to get hit, Sakura challenges the Fight to a duel. Sakura simply knocks the Fight on the head with her wand and it knocks her out. She then turns it back into a card.

Sakura was attempting to be nice to Meiling when Meiling says that Syaoran is going to capture all of the cards before Sakura does. Meiling admits that Sakura can do a little bit, but they will still beat her. Tomoyo says that their relationship chart has gotten rather complicated while Meiling grabs Syaoran and hugs him very tightly, ending the episode.
