Welcome to the world of Cardcaptor Sakura! You've probably seen this title around: on posters and bags, as cell phone mascots and in bookstores. Hey, you might have even seen extremely large websites dedicated to the series! So, what is exactly all the hype for all this anime?

To start you off, Cardcaptor Sakura is probably one of the most memorable and beloved works of the famous manga group, CLAMP! CCS, the more known acronym for the series, spans 12 volumes in manga - that's 50 Chapters, folks - and 70 TV episodes with two movies. The tale of Cardcaptor Sakura is the story of 10 year-old Kinomoto Sakura, a normal 4th-grader in the town of Tomoeda. One day, she stumbles across the mysterious Book of Clow in her father's basement library. Upon opening it, she breaks the seal and unleashes all of the cards inside it! The Guardian of the Book, Cerberus, now beckons upon Sakura to become a Cardcaptor to get all the Clow Cards back before they wreak havoc on the world!

Through the story of CCS, young Sakura and her friends are faced with all sorts of dilemmas - be it that they've trapped themselves in a Clow Card, or matters of the heart. Cardcaptor Sakura tells the story of a young girl who's just trying to grow up, and all that life has with it. CCS has a charm unique to its name, and is definitely worth the read and watch.
