Clow Card - The Clow Cards were created by the powerful magician, Clow Reed. Each card possess a unique power and can be devastatingly destructive if released from the Clow Book. Because of Clow Reed's mixed descent (Chinese & English), the Clow Cards are a mix of Eastern and Western magic. This is why the cards have both Chinese and English on them. Most of the true forms of the Clow Cards resemble people, depending on the type of card.
The Clow Cards were sealed in the Clow Book by Clow Reed himself. However, Sakura released the seal in the first episode of Card Captor Sakura, and is then destined to re-capture all the cards.
Besides having power of "thunder", "fire", etc., the Clow Cards can also be used to tell fortunes. The incantation is, "Clow no tsukurishi card yo waga toikake ni kotae yo. Waga mae ni tachi wa dakaru mono no shin no sugata o shimese."
In the third season of Card Captor Sakura, Sakura can transform the Clow Cards into "Sakura Cards" (dubbed so by Tomoyo). |

 |
Sakura Card - The Sakura Cards were originally the Clow Cards, but Sakura transform them gradually in the third season, becoming progressively stronger in the process. The Sakura Cards draw their powers from Sakura's own magical source. This shows how incredible Sakura's powers are, since only a select few, strong individuals can create their own magic. Sakura's magic is represented by the stars (hoshi).
The Sakura Cards are actually much stronger than Clow Cards because their magical source is more "fresh", so to speak. As Clow Reed died many years ago, the Clow Cards are literally reborn and revitalized through the shift in magical source. Sakura's new power also creates a different magical circle, again, represented by the stars instead of the moon and sun that represents Clow's magic.
With the Sakura cards, Sakura is the actual mistress of the entire deck. |

Clow Book

Sakura Book
 |
Clow Book & Sakura Book - The Clow Book was a creation of Clow Reed to seal away the powers of the Clow Cards, in effect keeping the world safe. On the cover of the book is the Beast of the Seal (fuuin no kemono), Cerberus "Kero-chan" - also another of Clow's creations. Cerberus's fierce power represented by the sun is actually self-sustaining. On the back of the book, is a symbol of the moon representing "Yue" - the judge - who determines if the prospective new "master" of the cards is worthy. Though Yue's power is represented by the moon, he must draw his powers from another source.
In the third season of Card Captor Sakura, the Clow Book changes into the Sakura book, holding the Sakura Cards that Sakura transforms. It gets a revamp, going from gold and auburn to pink, yellow and white. |

Seal Key

Star Key
 |
Fuuin no Kagi / Seal Key & Hoshi no Kagi / Star Key - The Seal Key was bestowed upon Sakura when Kero-chan appointed her "Card Captor Sakura". When Sakura commands the key to "reveal its true form", it transforms into its staff form. The Clow Key can literally act as a key, as was shown when Sakura used the Clow Key to seal the Lock card.
Most of the time, Sakura wears the key around her neck. When calling upon her staff, she says "Yami no chikara o himeshi kagi yo! Shin no sugata o ware no mae ni shimese. Keiyaku no moto Sakura ga meijiru. Release!"
In the third season of Card Captor Sakura, the key becomes the shape of a star with wings - the Star Key. This better suits Sakura's own magical source of the stars. When she recites her incantation, the power is derived directly from Sakura. Sakura's incantation changes from "Darkness" (Yami) to "Star" (Hoshi). |

Seal Wand

Powered-Up Star Wand
 |
Fuuin no Tsue / Seal Wand & Hoshi no Tsue / Star Wand & Powered-Up Star Wand - The Seal Wand is what Sakura transforms the Seal Key into when she says her incantations (that work because of her contract with the key). Sakura seals Clow Cards with this staff. When Sakura seals a card, she says "Nanji no arubeki sugata ni modore! Clow Card!" which translates to "Return to your original form! Clow Card!"
After Sakura has sealed all the Clow Cards, she creates her own new kind of magic. This new power is represented by the stars (hoshi). With her new power, Sakura derives her magical powers from her own source, rather than Clow Reed's magic. The new wand's purpose is to transform Clow Cards into Sakura Cards, and to use magic.
In episode 69 of the anime and volume 11 of the manga, Cerberus and Yue add their powers to Sakura's Star Wand to help her transform the last two Clow Cards - Light and Dark. If Sakura fails to do so... the two are lost forever. |

Tomoyo's Cameras - Tomoyo is way into video technology. And, of course, her favorite subject is none other than Sakura. Tomoyo records Sakura when she's capturing Clow Cards, when they're on outtings - pretty much whenever she gets a chance.
Tomoyo has a home theater in her room where she watches her videos. She also does editing, and in the second Card Captor Sakura movie, she actually puts background music to Sakura's battle with the bad guys she made with Create, just for Tomoyo.
Tomoyo upgrades to digital within the series. She prefers this because there's no quality lost when editing or copying. Tomoyo's old camera breaks in episode 50, "Sakura and the Invisible Threads", when she saves Sakura from being sliced up by a controlled Syaoran. |

Cellphones - These cellphones were created by Tomoyo's mother's toy company. Sakura has one, while Tomoyo has the other - though they're not walkie-talkies, as they work like real phones. |

Syaoran

Yelan
 |
Rashinban / Compass - The Rashinban is used to detect the location of magic. Syaoran uses his Rashinban to track down Clow Cards. In "Card Captor Sakura The Movie", Syaoran's mother uses the Rashinban to sense Sakura's predicament. In order to understand scenes in which the Rashinban is used, you just need to know it's a magic compass.
Each section of the board represents an element. The incantation to use the Rashinban also deals heavily with calling upon the gods of different elements. This board is ancient magic, handed down in the Li clan, all the way back to Clow's mother (who was a member of the Li clan). |
 |
 |
Syaoran's Sword - Syaoran's sword can act as an actual sword (Syaoran is a highly skilled fighter), but Syaoran also uses it to channel his magic. Syaoran can use his "Ofuda" with his sword, as well as Clow Cards. Syaoran's common attacks (with Ofuda) are fire, wind, and lightning.
Syaoran's sword is kept in a small ball he always carries with him. He can summon the sword out of this ball. For more information on this, see the "Kero-chan ni Omakase!" transcript for episode 9. |
 |
 |
Ofuda - Syaoran's Ofuda are incantation cards that he uses to call upon different elements, such as fire, wind, lightning, and water. Syaoran can use his sword to use Ofuda, but he can also use them without it.
In episode 37, "Sakura and Tomoyo's Vanished Voice", Syaoran uses his Ofuda to trap the Voice card inside a room. Think of barriers that demons or other supernatural beings can't pass. |
 |
 |
Meigurumi no Kumo / Teddy Bear - It's said that if you make a teddy bear, name it after yourself, and give it to the person you like most, you two will stay together forever.
The teddy bear Sakura makes has a big significance in Card Captor Sakura. In the manga, Sakura gives her teddy bear to Syaoran at the end of the series. In the anime, Sakura is given Syaoran's teddy bear. It's just a symbol of their eternal love, and boy ain't it sweet? =) |

Eriol's Key

Eriol's Staff
 |
Eriol's Key & Staff - Eriol uses these instruments just as Sakura uses hers. Eriol can perform magic with his staff. His incantation is, "Yami no chikara o himeshi kagi yo! Shin no sugata o ware no mae ni shimese. Keiyaku no moto Eriol ga meijiru. Release!" Notice this is the same as Sakura's incantation to release the Seal Key, as that was Clow's magic. |

|
Pocket Beeper & Cellphone - This is a gadget by Tomoyo's mother's toy company. Tomoyo gives Sakura one of these in the manga when she's going after the Illusion card, which is underwater. This is designed so Sakura can text message Tomoyo and Kero-chan, who also have one. |
 |
 |
Tsuki no Suzu / Moon Bell - Mizuki-sensei (Kaho) is the possesser of the "Moon Bell". The Moon Bell was created by Clow Reed, just before he died. Its purpose is to aid the new owner of the Clow Cards during the Final Judgement (by Yue).
In the anime, the bell combines with the Sealing Wand to create the Star Staff, that derives its power directly from Sakura. Clow Reed knew the next candidate would live in Tomoeda, therefore, he gave the Moon Bell to the Tsukimine Shrine, in which it was passed down for generations and generations, until it came in Kaho's possession.
In the manga, Sakura created the Star Wand completely from her own powers and will to survive the Final Judgement.
The Moon Bell was used to give Sakura another chance at the Final Judgement, after seeing a world completely devoid of love. |
