"Hahahaha! You're all so weak!" We are introduced to Kurogane in Chapitre.2 of TRC, having a wolfy grin on his face after slaughtering a barracade of ninjas and leaving them upon the gates of Shirasaki Castle. Kurogane is the most dangerous and powerful swordsman in (Feudal) Japan, and first-priority bodyguard to the Tsukuyomi (that is, the Priestess Princess) Princess Tomoyo, who is one of his childhood friends. Kurogane was the child of the Lord and ward-protector miko of Suwa, a province in (feudal) Japan. He was also heir to the legendary Ginryu sword. As a kid, Kurogane always aspired to be strong like his father, the strongest warrior in all of Suwa. He would constantly be imitating his father's sword moves, hoping one day to be as strong - or perhaps, surpass - his father's talents. During Kurogane's youth, a sudden situation made him end up receiving refuge from the country's Tsukuyomi, who was then just a child. Kurogane soon became a bodyguard for the Princess. Kurogane has killed a vast amount of people throughout his "career," and was exiled from Japan to meet stronger people and become stronger himself. The Princess laid a final curse on him, as well - that as he needlessly killed more people, the more his strength would decrease. Though coming off as a rough person, Kurogane does have some compassion for those around him. As a child, Kurogane was very outgoing and energetic, although as time (and events that took place) passed, he became more subject to his warrior-type personality, and became increasingly obssessed with becoming stronger. Despite this, though, Kurogane is quite observant and compassionate, having grown up with a desire to protect. And now that he's on a journey with Syaoran and the others.. as long as he's not home protecting Princess Tomoyo, why not lend a hand to the people he's with now? |
