Clow Country

Welcome to the lush desert kingdom of Clow! We are a friendly and warm (literally!) country with affable smiles, and anyone would be glad to help you out on your stay here. Our royalty is quite kind and generous to the nation, and we are bountiful in every aspect despite our location. We also boast many historic landmarks, as well as a great history that's being unravelled by talented expeditionists and archeologists. You don't have to dig deep to know how ample Clow Country is!

Important Places

Imperial Castle

The residence of Princess Sakura, King Touya and High Priest Yukito. The royal family and court take their occupancy here. The castle is in the heart of the Country, overlooking the capital town and the rest of the Country.

Syaoran's Residence

Syaoran's residence is a small house tucked away in the capital city. He and his father, Fujitaka, lived here together until Fujitaka's passing, and Syaoran continues to live here. He's scarcely at home, though.. he's always out on the job at the local digs!

Clow Ruins

These ruins were discovered by Fujitaka, Syaoran's father, when the father-son team arrived in Clow Country. Several years after, Syaoran is now taking his father's place and continues with the excavation team to unravel the ruins. They're starting to come out in the shape of a set of wings, and Sakura's been called to them. Apparently Sakura's powers and the ruins have something in common.. but what could it be?

Reappearing Characters

Touya is the present King of Clow Country. He's a strong warrior and is best friends with High Priest Yukito, whom he's known since childhood. King Touya loves to tease his little sister, Princess Sakura, and cares for her a great deal. He fended off the shadow warriors from Syaoran and Sakura as Yukito sent them to the Dimensional Witch. Yukito is the High Priest of Clow Country, and primary advisor to King Touya, his best friend. Yukito is quite nice and very friendly, and tries his best to settle the sibling disputes between the King and Princess. He's quite the magician, and his powers are controlled by the Moon. Yukito already predicted the adversity coming towards Sakura and Syaoran, and also used a great deal of his power to send them to the Dimensional Witch. Fujitaka is a top archeologist, and Syaoran's father. He immediately decided to adopt Syaoran when he found Syaoran on the streets, and raised him as his own. Fujitaka was a wonderful father, teaching Syaoran many things about the world and being open towards different customs and cultures, as well as many precious values about life. He did extensive work and travelled to many different countries, but his last expedition was to Clow Country, where he stayed for several years researching the Clow Ruins. Fujitaka passed away during the excavation, and Syaoran carries on his legacy. The former King of Clow Country is Touya and Sakura's father. We only meet Clow Reed through Touya and Sakura's memories of him, which described him as a pleasant and kind King and father. He was a very gentle man, and loved to look out onto the ruins, as well.
