Just as the battle heats up, the police come! Shougo and his gang are forced to retreat, but he's already taken a liking to Syaoran. In the meantime, Syaoran returns one of Sakura's feathers back to her, and her body warms up a little. Just in time, Sorata and Arashi, a couple in debt to Yuko the Dimension Witch, come to the Syaoran-tachi's aid and offer them a place to stay at in their inn.

As far as finding the feathers goes, Mokona says that there's one way to tell if any of Sakura's feathers are around! Mokona mentions that its eyes will go "MEKYO!" or get really, really big! While Fay says that he might as well help Syaoran find Sakura's feathers, Kurogane is more set on going back to his homeworld.

Kurogane can't get to sleep, but watches as Syaoran looks kindly at Sakura, who was reminiscing about the times he and Sakura had together. As Kurogane watched him, he reflected back on how everything started: Princess Tomoyo said there was "no other way" but to send Kurogane off to another world, so he could get stronger without pointlessly killing people. She then laid a "shu" - a magical curse - on him that made his strength weaken as he killed more people. Then, he dreamt of a dragon that fiercely looked at him.
When Kurogane awoke, Syaoran was still up, looking at Sakura. From then, they changed outfits and looked around the city for Sakura's feathers. As they were searching, Kurogane spotted a girl who looked exactly like Princess Tomoyo, and decided to chase her.

In the meantime, Mokona lead Fay and Syaoran to an okonomiyaki diner. Syaoran immediately recognized two of the employees as King Touya and High Priest Yukito from the Kingdom of Clow. But, Fay pointed out that the Witch said that they'd meet people they knew from different places, except with different histories but the same souls. Syaoran then guessed that Kurogane probably found someone from his home world.

As Kurogane was searching for Tomoyo, one of the kudan gangs cornered him on "their turf." They immediately attacked Kurogane with their top kudan, in order to lure out Syaoran. But, Kurogane survived their attacks and said, "I won't be done in.. until I return to my home world.. and meet her again." Then, a sudden rush of power overcame Kurogane and appeared as a large dragon, who then converted itself to a sword. Kurogane picked the sword up, and in one attack, swiftly defeated the kudan gang's leader. The gang leader then asked Kurogane to join their gang, instead - to which Kurogane answered that he's served and will serve only one person - Princess Tomoyo.

Back at Sorata and Arashi's inn, after Syaoran began to sleep, Sakura awoke in the middle of the night. Glowing, she simply gazed at Syaoran...
