Manga Correspondance: TSUBASA Chapitres 8-11.5 (half of Chapitre 11) First Aired: May 7, 2005 As Syaoran
watched Sakura in the night, he reminisces about a day in Clow when Sakura had a
fever. Sakura asked him to hold her hand so she could get better sooner... And,
even in another world where Sakura couldn't remember that, he did - and kept on
holding her hand. Once again, he reassured Sakura that he'd find her feathers.Once Sorata gets home, the group converses about where Sakura's feathers might be. After some deliberation, they come to the conclusion that a strong kudan possesses her feather. The next day, they go back out into the city to look for her feather, when Masayoshi comes and offers to help them in their search. Suddenly, a large bird-robobo device comes flying out of nowhere and kidnaps Masayoshi and Mokona, and leaves a note saying that the kidnapper would be waiting at the Hansin Castle*. Syaoran then turned to Fay and Kurogane, but to no avail - they can't understand each other at all! As they
draw closer to Hansin Castle, the trio can now understand each other - it's
actually Mokona that serves also as a translation device. Masayoshi and Mokona's
kidnapper is actually Hansin's number one idol, Primera! Unfortunately, she
picked up the wrong people - she actually wanted Syaoran, so she could fight
with him. But instead, Fay took over and fought Primera with his kudan, and -
being the softy he is - lets Primera off easy. And just in the nick of time, Shougo shows up just as the end of the battle! Primera complains that he doesn't spend enough time with her, and wanted to kidnap Syaoran so he could hang out with her more. But Syaoran really didn't care, since Mokona told him that it could sense really strong waves! Knowing this, he wanted to find Sakura's feather, in a strong kudan - thus ensuing another battle with Shougo. * Sidenote: Most fansubbers and Del Rey have the Hansin Republic translated as "Hanshin," as that is how it's correctly pronounced. Unfortunately, San's very indecisive when it comes to the original context, so she just wants to leave it in its original form (which is written on the Hansin Tower in Episode 2 and in Chapitre 3 of the manga). |
