As soon as they arrive in the new world, trouble arises! An odd, tall man decides to bark up the wrong tree when he grabs Sakura to question her, since Syaoran almost automatically flying kicked him as soon as he heard Sakura flinch in slight pain! The man is just about to get even when a young girl named Chunyan* stops them. After a message from the man's father, the ruler of the land, he and his entourage left.

Thinking that Syaoran and the gang were the secret agents that could save her land, the Miteshu, Chunyan takes them in. It seems that Ryoshi - the ruler of the land - and his son were only commoners until a year ago, and have been horrible to the people of her land ever since. Suddenly, a gust of wind bursts into the house, manifests into a tornado and begins to destroy it. Watching in amusement, Ryoshi and his son begin to question why Syaoran and the others had arrived in the country. But to no avail - Ryoshi didn't care as long as his power source was around... which was Sakura's feather.

The day after the sudden tornado, Kurogane's on the roof of Chunyan's house repairing the damages and discussing with Fay about Sakura and retrieving her memories. Meanwhile in town, Sakura wins a lucky draw and wins everyone new clothes! Later, Chunyan tells Sakura she must be God's beloved daughter, a person with extremely good luck. But when she asks Sakura if she'd always been lucky, Sakura responds that she only remembers her name and a city in the middle of a desert, which is obviously her hometown. Sakura also tells Chunyan that they are on a journey to find her memories, or so "Syaoran-kun" told her. Syaoran remembers another memory of when Sakura wanted to call him just by his name, because her big brother told her that you can do that when you're close with someone. She also tells him to call her as just "Sakura," as well... But when Syaoran calls her "Princess Sakura," she responds oddly.

Abruptly, the Ryoshi's son is terrorizing the residents for not paying their taxes in another neighborhood nearby! He was also using a special weapon... the fan of Chunyan's deceased mother. Chunyan then begins to tell the story of why she's so angry at the Ryoshi and his son - they only came to town a year ago as normal people, and suddenly a burst of strength let them overrule the former Ryoshi and destroy the city, then took control of the whole land and made life horrible in the country. Chunyan continued on, saying that her mother fought together with other villagers, but was killed by them. In the meantime, Syaoran beat up all of the henchmen single-handedly, but the Ryoshi made another windstorm to throw them off! After Chunyan bad-mouthed the Ryoshi and his son some more, Ryoshi's son became angry and threw the fan into the tornado. It being one of the only things Chunyan's mother left behind, Chunyan muttered that the Miteshu would surely come to overrule them, then fell to the ground in desperate pain.

* Note: This is the same case as "Hansin," since her name is written in Katakana as "Chunyan" (チュニャン).
