Manga Correspondance: Anime-only (although some of the beginning is taken from two pages from Chapitre 17, this scenario is anime-only) First Aired: May 28, 2005 In the midst of the night, Sakura has a dream of an hourglass in the middle of a desert, and says that as long as people have something to believe in, their courage to live won't fade away. She then awakens and feels as if someone were calling her... In the morning, the gang tries to look for a way to overthrow the Ryoshi, and come to the conclusion - thanks to Kurogane - that they should storm the castle. At the castle, the Ryoshi and his son look over the town to see that Chunyan is plotting something again. But the Ryoshi allows Chunyan to live, because he wants her to wed his son, to increase the hijutsu of his clan... Although he'd just dispose of her later, since they already had the power of the feather. In town,
Chunyan brings Syaoran, Sakura and Mokona to the secret gathering place of the
braver rebelling townspeople. A familiar figure and his companion comes to greet
Chunyan - Sorata and Arashi! Leaving Sakura somewhat confused, since this
version of Sorata and Arashi don't know them and aren't even married, Syaoran
explains to her that while they have the same souls, they exist in different
dimensions leading different ways of life. Sorata then begins to explain to
Chunyan that because of the people going missing every time they go to the
castle, they have to stop fighting. Once again, Sakura feels as if someone were
calling her, from the castle.Outside the castle, Chunyan reminisces about when she found her mother dead in front of the castle doors, and the Ryoshi telling her that because her mother resisted, he wouldn't permit her mother to rest, but to wander on the world forever. Sakura begins to act upon the entities calling her from the castle, and draws power from her feather to reach beyond the castle doors. And, despite Chunyan's protests, Syaoran goes in after Sakura to save her and promises he'd be back. Inside the
castle, once Syaoran finds Sakura, the Ryoshi puts them through a series of
disasters, which they endured well. As the Ryoshi looks for more ways to torture
them, his son interrupts to report that Chunyan had gathered the townspeople to
tell them that Syaoran and Sakura had gone into the castle, and are sure to come
out because Sakura is "God's beloved daughter." Back inside the
castle, an assembly of hideous creatures find Sakura and Syaoran. While Syaoran
gets defensive of Sakura, she greets the creatures and says that they're the
townspeople that were lost and, because they'd been living in the other world
within the castle, had taken on these grotesque forms. Sakura then assures them
that once the hijutsu is gone, they'll return to their original forms. Then a
strange light comes forth, telling Sakura that she is certainly God's most
beloved child, and tells her to go back with her beloved. Sakura then emits a
glowing light of her own, and gently takes Syaoran's hand. When Sakura and Syaoran return, the townspeople rejoice and believe what Chunyan said about them coming back. The townspeople won't stop fighting now, especially since they know that their friends can come back if they defeat the Ryoshi! Now, the Ryoshi feels that they have to step up their game, and summons the evil princess, Kiishimu! |
