It's nightfall, and the townspeople have started the storming of the castle! But Chunyan is with a very different Sakura, who's beginning to really resemble her mother.

Syaoran keeps on evading the Ryoshi's son's attacks, and Fay and Kurogane are holding up well against Kiishimu. Kurogane reiterates that he needs to get back to his home world, and Fay says he needs to get to other worlds as quickly as he can before someone can track him down. Fay jumps towards Kiishimu, then Kurogane uses Fay as a lift to get down faster and strike her - but at the same time, Kiishimu extends her nails and stabs Kurogane!

In the meantime, the Ryoshi's son now has a hold of Mokona! Thinking that they were Miteshu, the son is about to throw Mokona, but is stopped by Syaoran's injured leg! While the Ryoshi's son tries to hurt him, Syaoran tells him that he doesn't care about his own pain, because he's set out to do something. Suddenly, Syaoran uses a counterkick to free himself and run the Ryoshi's son into a pillar!

It seems as though Fay's hammer saved Kurogane! He then strikes Kiishimu, shattering a jewel on her head! The illusion of their battlefield is then obliterated. The Ryoshi's son is now defeated as well, and more of the hijutsu surrounding Sakura's feather breaks! Back with Fay and Kurogane, Kiishimu gives Kurogane a kiss on the cheek as a way of thanks for breaking her free of the Ryoshi's spell. The Ryoshi then sees the townspeople raiding the castle, and decided to "use" them, showing them the powers of his hijutsu.

Sakura's been acting a lot like Chunyan's mother lately, because Sakura's body is being possessed by her soul! It seems that Chunyan's mother has been trapped within the castle until Sakura, God's beloved daughter, came. They then came to the place where Chunyan was shown her mother's powers. Even without an instrument, Chunyan's mother was still able to use hijutsu. But Chunyan's powers aren't working, because hijutsu is not to be used for selfish reasons, but for other's. Knowing that, Chunyan's powers began to work - and her mother gave her a hijiutsu mirror as a gift before she left for her eternal repose. After Sakura came to, a possessed Sorata comes to "collect" the two girls.

Syaoran finds the Ryoshi's lair, as well as a trapped Sakura and Chunyan! Now the Ryoshi is almost positive that Syaoran is a Miteshu, and feels that he can defeat him. But, if Syaoran even touches him, he'll kill Sakura and Chunyan! And to make matters worse, the Ryoshi has possessed the rest of the townspeople and is using them as guards!
