Manga Correspondance: TSUBASA Chapitres 22 - 24 First Aired: June 25, 2005 The next
world is a forest with a large lake, but Mokona senses a strong power from it!
While Syaoran dives in to search for Sakura's feather, Sakura watches the fire.
When Syaoran emerged from the water, Sakura started talking about the memory she
gained back. She remembers happily talking to an empty seat... as where Syaoran
remembers she was talking to him. Syaoran has a memory of talking to Sakura
about when his birthday was, and telling her that he doesn't remember anything
before Fujitaka adopted him. So, Sakura sweetly decided that his birthday would
be the same as hers, so they could celebrate it on the same day. She also tells
him that she'll remember the things he didn't, and wanted to create wonderful
memories together every year. When Syaoran got home, he told his father that
Sakura didn't feel sorry for him, but gave him a birthday and smiled at him.
Fujitaka then embraced him and Syaoran said that Sakura's smile was very warm.
Fujitaka asks Syaoran if he's taken up an interest in archaeology, and tells him
that finding mysteries is a really happy event. He also tells his son that he'll
surely find a happiness for him alone. The lake is beginning to glow, so Syaoran dives in to check it out. Then a large fish comes out from the lake and asks Sakura why she's come. Sakura then remembers meeting Fujitaka and his son with her father. Sakura's father then tells her that he's had a painful past, but has changed a bit since Fujitaka became his father. But part of his heart was still frozen, so a smile like Spring sunshine could help him. Sakura wonders who that boy could be, then passes out. Syaoran
is diving deeper into the lake, and is met by the same creature that met Sakura.
Walking back to the campgrounds, Mokona imitates Kurogane's voice and says a lot
of funny things, which is one of its 108 secret techniques - voice acting!
Another one of its other 108 secret techniques is super dramatic power, and
scares Syaoran as Sakura sleeps! Fay reminds Syaoran that Sakura's health isn't
back to normal yet, and that there'll be more difficulties in the future.. And
that nobody would mind if Syaoran would have fun or smile. When Sakura comes to,
she runs towards the lake thinking that Syaoran was still searching. Obviously
seeing the two smiling at each other, Fay and Kurogane decided to leave them
alone.Syaoran then brought Sakura through the lake. He recalled another moment when Sakura brought him to the top of an old structure to see a flock of birds fly by. Sakura then smiled and laughed as Syaoran smiled back at her and thanked her. Back in the lake, Syaoran showed Sakura a small town in the middle of the lake. The fish that greeted them was above, and asked Sakura again why they were here. Then, it left a large, glowing scale in front of them. When
Sakura and Syaoran came back, they told Fay and Kurogane about the small city in
the lake, and the large fish. Kurogane doesn't buy their story, but Syaoran
tells him what his father told him long ago - that there's more that meets the
eye to it, and that there's so much more to be seen. It ends up that the scale
from the glowing fish was the force that Mokona sensed, so Sakura's feather was
never in the country to begin with!Sakura then tells the group that while she might hinder everyone, she'll try her hardest to do whatever she could. Syaoran then remembers she said something similar back at the spot Sakura showed him the birds when they were small. She said that she'll always be the same person if she doesn't do anything, even if a little bit at a time, and that's what'll bring her to her future. Syaoran believes that Sakura hasn't changed a bit... that she's still as warm as ever. So, onto the next world they go! |
