Episode Title: "Kikenna REESU" - The Dangerous Race

Syaoran is faced with a doppelganger of himself. He clutches his eyes and asks, "Who are you? This is..." But Mokona wakes him from his dream, and he looks out the window to behold the country of Piffle.

On the ship's deck, Sakura, Kurogane and Fay are already awake. Mokona opens up a transmission with Yuko and she remakrs how well Sakura is looking and how her energy has improved. This is all thanks to Syaoran finding her feathers, Mokona adds. Yuko is really looking to getting a reciprocated gift from the Valentine's chocolates she gave the group, and Sakura asks her to just wait a bit longer.

On the way to shop via "dragonflies", Fay remarks what a big surprise ending up in Piffle was. In flashback mode, the group immediatley saw the "Dragonfly Race" advertisement that boasted a powerful energy feather as the grand prize. It looks like the whole group is going to try its best to win the feather, even Sakura! But it seems her driving could use some improvement, as she accelerates too quickly, loses control, and blows up Kurogane's and her dragonflies.

The group continues by car (this time with just Kurogane driving), and Kurogane remarks how Sakura's determination to compete in the race is just like Tomoyo-hime's. Just then, Kurogane swurves to avoid hitting a limo, and out steps Tomoyo. She runs over to Sakura, claspes her hands in hers, and says, "My searching is done!"

Back at the groups' residence, Tomoyo introduces herself as Tomoyo Daidouji, the president of Piffle Princess Company. Her company is running the Dragonfly Race, and will be there to videotape Sakura... who lets out a "Hoe!!!"


Sakura demonstrates her flying ability for everyone to see, but ... immediately plops back down to earth (in a way that basically defies physics :P) Syaoran rushes to her aid. Tomoyo remarks how Sakura is even cute when she falls.




Later that night, Syaoran is instructing Sakura about driving the dragonfly well, while Kurogane and Fay have a serious discussion about their own worlds, and about seeing people from them who really aren't the same people. Kurogane brings up Fay's Ashura, which cuts through his smiling-facade. Fay says that he would know whether or not it were the "real" Ashura from his world.

Fei Wang Reed has someone ready to interfere with the Tsubasa group's journey, while Syaoran's doppelganger is waiting nearby.

The next day the Dragonfly Race preliminaries are about to start in a giant open-arena. Tomoyo is there on a giant balloon ready to film the action. The race begins, and Sakura has a bit of trouble, but Syaoran helps her out. Sakura asks Syaoran to try his best while she'll try hers, so he goes on ahead. All of the other competitors in the race are people the group has met from other worlds, but who are only superficially the same people.

Kurogane (whose dragonfly was named "Kurotan" by Fay) and Fay have finished among the first, but their engines immediately go out. The same happens to many of the people who finished, and Syaoran as well! But luckily he's still able to fly. He tells Sakura to go on ahead, but Sakura makes him promise that he'll definitely have everyone in the crowd congratulate him; that he'll qualify for the race.

Sakura easily passes the finish line, but Syaoran is caught in a head-on race for the last qualifying spot with the fat leader of the old Hansin kudan gang. Syaoran overstresses his dragonfly so much that when he passes the finish line for the last spot, it bursts into flames. But Syaoran emerges from the flames; he kept his promise.

Tomoyo believes there is a criminal who is interferring with the games. Syaoran knows that the criminal is one among the contestants.
