Hansin is filled with tons of people and tall buildings. Strangely, to Syaoran apples here look like pears and vise versa; a primitive example of the cultural differences Yuko warned Syaoran of. As Fay and Kurogane reminisce on how they managed to find themselves helping Syaoran hunt down feathers and how Yuko must be the only one with the power to send people to so many different worlds, Syaoran recalls a memory from his youth. As Syaoran daydreams while holding his apple, a group of goggle-clad people swoop into the streets, shouting about capturing territory. Suddenly, Syaoran feels a warm sensation in his chest. Could these be kudan users!? The fiery beast from last night reveals itself once again, sprouting between the goggle-wearing men. Just then, from the chest of the long-haired goggle man, emerges a kudan taking on the form of a stingray. Quickly it knocks out a strange beastly kudan and then almost takes out a small boy and his kudan. But Syaoran quickly uses his fiery kudan as a shield against the stingray kudan. Needless to say, the goggled man is very interested in Syaoran. Syaoran's kudan is of a high level, proving to be a formidable opponent.
