As Syaoran finds himself confronted by the strange man in goggles and his stingray of a kudan, he stands to be the only saving grace for a boy and an older woman. After Syaoran reflexively has his Kudan shield the two from the stingray, the goggle-clad man-who introduces himself as Asagi Shogo declares his awe-struck impression. Fatefully, the police rush to the scene and put an end to the fighting.

During all of the commotion, Mokona managed to be thrown from Kurogane's head. It had sensed one of Sakura's feathers nearby, but since nobody paid attention, Mokona decided to mingle with the local girls. Apologetically, Syaoran holds Mokona and asks about the feather's whereabouts. Mokona says someone has the feather, but it doesn't know who.

Suddenly, the boy who almost became mincemeat had it not been for Syaoran - Masayoshi-kun - confronts the group and portrays his gratitude by taking them out for some food. Over lunch, they discuss the kudan battles that took place in the streets. We learn about the different levels of kudan and find out that Syaoran's kudan is in the top level.

As the discussion of kudan drags on, two waiters come to serve the group. Syaoran is stunned at the sight of King Touya and Yukito dressed in smocks and bandanas. Yuko sure wasn't joking when she said there would be differences in other dimensions!
