Syaoran shows Fay and Kurogane the letter telling them to go to Hansin Palace. Upon discussing their next move, the three suddenly realize they can no longer understand each other.
At Hansin Palace, Masayoshi and Mokona dangle from ropes. Masayoshi is in tears while Mokona gleefully hops up and down on its rope. The kidnappers peer at Masayoshi, questioning if the boy Shogo spoke so highly of should be crying. They conclude he must be the one, as he was the youngest among the group they had a description of.
Syaoran-tachi* makes it to Hansin Palace still conversationally disabled. However, upon sighting Mokona, the three are now able to understand each other! Concurrently, they all recognize that Mokona was the key to their translation. The group takes a moment to recall some of Mokona's amazing abilities: the skill to bring them to different worlds, translate, and being able to swallow an apple whole!
Among hundreds of people, Syaoran holds up the letter and demands to know who wrote it. A popular idol named Primera raises her voice and takes responsibility for the letter. The crowd - all her fan club members and worshippers - shouts her name, citing that her kudan is incredibly strong (plus Primera is super cute and even has a day-time talk show.) Syaoran introduces himself to Primera. Instantly she realizes her fan club members (the kidnappers) made a mistake and captured the wrong person. What idiots!
Primera demands a fight in exchange for Mokona and Masayoshi. Fay plays along, thinking he will use his kudan to "climb" the palace and rescue Mokona and Masayoshi. Fay reveals his kudan, which looks like a giant falcon, and flies to the top of the Palace. Primera, who is upset that Fay can fly and she can't, reveals her kudan - a microphone - and commands it to attack. Syaoran witnesses Fay being consumed in a gigantic explosion and screams in apprehension.
*-tachi denotes a group.
