Syaoran is destroying the apparitions created by Chunyan's mother's fan by the Ryanban's son. Chunyan barks at the Ryanban's son, which prompts him to double the fines owed to him by the shop owner. If the shop owner can't pay, he will be struck three hundred times! Ouch. As if things couldn't get any worse, Syaoran is struck by a violent tornado - the Ryanban's secret arts - and is thrown from the battle.

Back at Chunyan's home, we learn that the Ryanban's palace is impenetrable due to "his" secret arts. Chunyan has tried numerous times, but to no avail. Apparently he uses a newfound secret power to defend his home! Syaoran puts two and two together and realizes this could have something to do with Sakura's feather! Mokona opens up communications through worlds (freaking everyone out) and asks Yuko about breaking the spell to the palace gate. She says she has something that can aid them in countering the spell, but asks for something of equal value in return. Fay offers his gigantic magic wand, which is then transported to Yuko via Mokona's mouth. Yuko then sends a glowing orb. Could this thing be the key to breaking the spell?
