Syaoran, still dripping from his dive in the lake, is desperate to know what happened to Sakura. Mokona, who ended the last chapitre with the cliffhanger sentence of "Sakura is...!" finishes his sentence by saying "Fast asleep.

" Syaoran tosses his fish scale into the air and falls to the ground. As Syaoran kneels, stunned in astonishment, Mokona informs him that he just witnessed one of its special techniques: Super Dramatic Power. Fay tries to make light of the situation and tells Syaoran to quit worrying. He says no one will blame him for relaxing a little and that he could smile since someone will feel happy because of it. With that, Syaoran begins to reminisce yet again. In the memory, Sakura is literally dragging him to the top of a large structure with many steps. Once they reach the top, Sakura excitedly waves her arms as hundreds of white birds flutter about. The two hold hands as they marvel at the sight of the beautiful birds. She says that the sight of the gorgeous birds makes people feel happy. Syaoran then smiles, much to Sakura's amazement. She then subtly compares it to the sight of the birds flying by calling it great; it was the first time Syaoran smiled for Sakura.
Just then, Sakura awakes. She screams for Syaoran-kun, worried that he is still in the lake. Syaoran lunges at her before she can jump in. She is glad to see he's alright. The group worries about her ability to stay with the group, but she assures them she'll do her best to do all she can. Again, this prompts a flashback. As she folds her hands and stretches toward the sky, she promises she will try her best even though she cannot do many things. She mentions that even the smallest thing will be connected to the future, and that nothing will change if you don't do anything. Syaoran smiles, and realizes that even though Sakura lost her memory she hasn't changed.
Done with his reverie, Syaoran informs the group about the miniature city in the lake. Mokona says the same power it sensed when they first entered this world is coming from the fish scale. There is no feather in this world, yet Syaoran looks very pleased. When asked why, Syaoran replies: "Because I have seen mysterious things!" An allusion to the memory of his father. Mokona then prepares to teleport the group. As Sakura is wrapped in the portal, Syaoran recalls her smile once more. The warmth he felt from that smile brought him an eternity of happiness.
